FOCOS – the foundational coaching skills training course is designed for people who are busy and desire to enhance their interpersonal skills and personal leadership.
WHY COACHING?
Through Coaching we empower individuals to explore and implement their God given calling without telling them how they should do it.
This course is for you if:
• You have a passion for staff & leadership development
• You believe people grow most when they’re not told what to do but empowered to explore and implement
• You want to learn to listen and ask more rather than instruct and advise
• You are willing to make a 9 months commitment to your training and coaching others
• You are dedicated to apply coaching skills more in the way
This course will help you:
• Understand adult learning
• How to recruit and motivate volunteers and potential employees
• Build ownership in relationship with your clients/volunteers/partners
• Engage the heart of those you serve Coaching conversation
• Have a coaching conversation where the person will be more engaged and motivated to implement
• Provide feedback, affirmation, accountability and support
• 30 hours of coaching to be counted under The International Coaching Federation (ICF) program

This is not another theoretical course. You will learn by first experiencing coaching, practicing with fellow course participants, growing with a mentor and then by doing it with real clients.
